Huon Valley PCYC was the home for the Huon Valley STEM expo, held on Thursday, August 19 for Science Week 2021, with a theme of ‘Food: different by design’.

The exhibition was the third of its kind and was organised by the Huonville High Future Energy Team, co-ordinator Nel Smit and a team of 30 volunteers, providing around 400 students from local schools in the Huon Valley, the opportunity to view workshops and displays by community groups and organisations.

The day started with a welcome to the expo and acknowledgement of country, performed by Huonville High Future Energy team member Aisha Fisher, followed by an opening speech from Huon Valley Council Mayor, Bec Enders.
