Huon FM held its annual general meeting on Sunday, September 19, where it announced the votes for its new leadership committee.
Andy Waterhouse was announced as the new president for Huon FM after going up against Franklin Marine owner, Ian Kuhl, with Gwyn Perrin elected as vice president, David Perrin as secretary, and John Perrin as treasurer.
The meeting, attended by Tasmanian Senator Eric Abetz, involved candidates speaking to those who attended, with a vote conducted for the positions after.
In his election speech, Andy Waterhouse stated that he would be a great candidate for president, due to his knowledge of the radio station’s operations, teamwork, administration and customer relations skills as well as his engagement with the local community.
