While 2021 has been a year like no other, the Huon Valley Council (HVC) has marched alongside the local community through the events of the year.
The Huon News recently sat down with HVC Mayor Bec Enders and discussed the year that was for the Huon Valley.
The COVID-19 pandemic was again at the forefront for 2021, yet Mayor Enders said that the focus for the HVC remained on recovery in the region.
“The main focus, other than previously outlined projects, was recovery, with our region having gone through both bushfires and the pandemic in the past few years and needing to recover from that,” Mayor Enders explained.
