Local business the Kermandie Hotel, located in Port Huon, has taken home two bronze awards in the recent Tasmanian Hospitality Association (THA) Awards for Excellence.
The Kermandie received bronze for Outstanding Community Service and Achievement, narrowly beaten by The Old Woolstore and The Metz, and Best Pub-Style Accommodation, with winners the Great Lake Hotel.
Marketing Manager at the Kermandie Hotel Michelle Ewikowski said that the Kermandie Hotel management and employees had all been very excited about the news.
“We are very proud of our team and the owner was ecstatic at the news we had won,” Ms Ewikowski stated.
“It really was a shock to have won and be one of the only businesses in the Huon Valley to receive an award.”
