It was finally the Dover Branch of Bendigo Community Bank Huon Valley’s turn to celebrate its 20th anniversary, hosting community groups, locals and Bendigo Bank representatives at the Southgate Shopping Centre on Thursday, May 11.

The event, led by former Huon Valley Financial Services board member Kelvin Aldred, started with words from former Steering Committee members for the Dover Bendigo Bank detailing the story of getting customers onboard for the start of Bendigo in the Valley, beginning with Geeveston and Dover, branches following in Huonville and Cygnet.

President of Dover and Far South Action Group and former Bendigo Bank Dover employee Lydia Eastley said that as she settled her roots in the Dover township, it was an obvious decision to join the Bendigo Bank because of its support of the community.
