Andrew Morrisby grew up in Dover and received lessons in the mechanic trade at a young age, while living at the Steam Museum.

He attended Huonville High School and upon completion, served an apprenticeship and become a qualified chef.

While working in Mount Isa, Queensland, he realised where his real passion lay, completed a second apprenticeship and became a diesel fitter.  

He spent 15 years in the industry in Mount Isa, including working in middle management of technical areas.

He is now self-employed, offering advice and mechanical services.

In the last few months, he has worked on ride-on mowers, hydraulics, tillers, tractors, marine diesel and a mammoth 18,000 litre water cart. 

With autos he has completed vehicle servicing, clutches and rebuilt gearboxes in cars and trucks.

Andrew offers mobile mechanical services and also has full workshop facilities in Port Huon.
