J.D. Excavations, Landscape & Maintenance Pty. Ltd. is owned by Josh Direen, who grew up in the Huon Valley and currently resides in Margate.

Josh started working when he was 12 years old on weekends and school holidays. 

He worked for Lucaston Park Orchards for four and a half years and completed his trade. 

He then worked with Hazell Bros for 10 years in heavy haulage, transport and earthmoving and three years with Hansen Orchards prior to starting his own business.

Josh services all areas, offering excavation services including driveways, drainage, house and shed cuts, footings, pier holes, site clearing and clean up. 

He has an auger, rockbreaker and a log grab and offers tree lopping, fencing and landscaping services too.

General cartage and transport with his seven- and 10-yard tipper trucks is also available.

Josh is fully insured and accredited and is a keen worker with old fashioned values, morals and work ethics. 

"I have the utmost pride in everything I do and my customers are the most important part of my business, because customers make a business what it is," said Josh.
