On the back of his latest album To Find Happiness, Josh Pyke has announced he will be completing a 30-stop regional tour, arriving at the Franklin Palais on Sunday, November 20.

ARIA Award winner Josh, after touring nationally for the album earlier in the year, will now be providing audiences in rural and regional areas with a stripped-back performance; boasting only “my loop pedal and few bits and bobs” as part of his performance.

“I always do a regional tour for the album and it’s a really good way for me to bring the music to the people,” Mr Pyke said.

“I’ve never played in these sorts of places in Tassie so I’m really excited to get over there.”

The paired-back feel of the tour is something Josh describes as “intimate”.

“Both playing with the band and solo have their pros and cons,” Mr Pyke explained.

“Playing with the band you get that sense of camaraderie and the people in my band are some of my favourite people in the world.

“Playing solo creates a real intimate sense between me and the audience, it’s like a conversation between me and the audience.

“For me, it’s a really good chance to connect with what the songs are about and what they meant when I first wrote them; its more reflective and intimate.”
