Employers and service providers took over the Huon Valley Trade Training Centre on Friday, June 9, with those in the job hunt or looking to upskill invited to see what is on offer for the local region.
The first expo of its kind in the Huon Valley was organised by the Southern Employment and Training Network (SETN) as one of the seventh Jobs Hub in the Regional Jobs Hub Network, with over 500 people in attendance.
Local employers, training organisations and apprenticeship providers were present, sharing job vacancies, training opportunities and career pathways advice, with Huon Valley Council Mayor Sally Doyle stating that the expo provided the perfect opportunity to encourage employment growth locally.
